Visitation service for Charles Ragan "Snookie" Curtis, Jr., 62, of Dallas, formerly of Wills Point, is scheduled for 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point. Interment will be at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. Private memorial service for family will be held at a later date.
He passed away Tuesday evening, February 7, 2012, in Dallas.
Charles was born February 22, 1949, in Wills Point, Texas, the son of Charles Ragan Curtis, Sr. and Lucille Laney Curtis. He was raised in Wills Point and in 1967, he graduated from Wills Point High School. Charles received his Bachelor's Degree at A&M and his Master's Degree at East Texas State Commerce. He had been employed as principal by the Wills Point Independent School District and also was employed by the Van Zandt County Livestock Auction. Charles had lived in Dallas for the past fifteen years. He was a member of the Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point.
Preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Chris Davis; niece, Amy Harris and his brother-in-law, Jackie Davis.
Charles is survived by a son, Ben Curtis & wife, Rachel, of Dallas; two daughters, Molly Curtis Case & husband, Aaron, of Rowlett and Connie Curtis, of Dallas; two sisters, Rosa Curtis Davis & husband, Ken Autry, of Wills Point and Sue Curtis Davis, of Wills Point; granddaughter, Katherine "Katie" Rose Case; former wife, Stefani Curtis, of Wills Point; two nieces, Amber Davis, of Wills Point and Danna Taylor, of Fate and two nephews, Damon Davis, of Wills Point and Ragan Davis, of Frisco.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point.
